Projects

The Hagedorn Community Center is located on High Street in Manhasset and was originally built in 1929 as a public school. Today, the school functions as a community center helping "at risk" youngsters in Manhasset/Great Neck to achieve success by providing support for children and their families.  The school is run with great dedication and effectiveness in spite of the structural problems and lack of funding to maintain outside grounds. Rebuilding Together Long Island, together with several sponsors, took on this project and over the course of many weeks, and many volunteer hours, have worked to make much needed repairs and renovations to the center.
